Instagram Stories allow users to upload one photo per story, so if you’re trying to create a collage, you would need to create it separately, and then upload it to your Instagram Story, and it’ll be treated as a single photo, this has been seen as a limiting feature and Instagram has finally found a solution!
In some good news announced on Twitter, Instagram has revealed that users can now upload multiple photos to a single Story through its new “Layout” feature.
Although Layout is an app by Instagram that lets users create collages, it looks like Instagram has decided to integrate Layout into Stories, similar to how Boomerang is also now part of Instagram (but it still exists as a separate app for those who prefer it that way).
Users can now upload anywhere between two to six photos per collage and make edits similar to how they would edit a normal Story, by adding text, emojis, GIFs, etc.
Strike a pose. And another pose. And then another. 📸
With Layout, you can now capture and share multiple photos in your story — a new, creative way to express yourself. Check it out! pic.twitter.com/j02aYOjsoO

The new feature should already be live for users so check it out if you haven’t done so already.
