If you were born in the 90’s then The Pussycat Dolls should ring a bell.
American girl group and dance ensemble, The Pussycat Dolls, who dominated the music industry in the mid-2000s with jaw-dropping songs like ‘Don’t Cha’, ‘Buttons’, ‘Stickwitu’ and of course ‘Jai Ho!’, are back again.
Reports have that the girl group went their separate ways in 2010 because of the dominance of the lead singer, Nicole Scherzinger, who appeared to have all the attention at the time, dwarfing the talent of the other ladies.
The first to leave the group in 2008 was Carmit Bachar, followed by Jessica Sutta. Melody Thornton, Ashley Roberts and finally,Nicole bid the group farewell two years later.
“A couple of the girls have left the group because they want to do their own projects and stuff.”
“It’s up to them what they want to do, and I just think, whatever makes them happy, we’ve been at it for a strong six years.” Nicole said during a 2018 interview with Ryan Seacrest
However, The Pussycat Dolls have announced a comeback to give their fans good music again.
Confirming the reunion, Nicole posted a photo of the group on her Instagram, captioned with the hashtag #PCDReunion.
Meanwhile, The Pussycat Dolls after ten years performed a medley of their songs at the finals of the U.K.’s The X Factor: Celebrity, on Saturday, November 30th.
After a thrilling performance, Nichole posted a picture of the group with the caption “it‘s good to be back with my girls.”
Will The Pussycat Dolls be able to surpass their old performances, and match up to the the diverse musical trends existing today?
