This year continues to be a fruitful one for Nigerian singer Tems. In July, “Essence,” her collaboration with Wizkid from his fourth studio album Made In Lagos, broke into the Billboard Hot 100, a respected music chart in the United States. A month later, Canadian superstar Justin Bieber teamed up with Tems and Wizkid on the remix of “Essence.”
Now, billboards have popped up on Lagos streets confirming that Tems has a guest spot on Drake’s forthcoming sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy. The use of billboards is Drake’s advert strategy. In cities in the US, Certified Lover Boy billboards have released some of the other names that will appear on the project: Young Thug, Future, 21 Savage, Lil Baby, Giveon, Ty Dolla $ign, Project Pat, Yebba, Lil Durk and Jay-Z.
Tems, it seems, will be the only Nigerian and African artiste to appear on the album.
