Senator Ahmed Lawan has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari may present the list of ministerial nominees to the Senate this week for deliberation.
Lawan said this at the plenary meeting yesterday June 10, while responding to a point of order by a representative of Akwa Ibom North-East senatorial district, Senator Bassey Akpan.
Senator Akpan had brought to mind the long recess coming hence the necessity for President Buhari to constitute a cabinet.
Lawan in response told the lawmakers that the Executive Arm is doing all it can to present the list for deliberation before the Senate begins its annual two-month break.
Meanwhile, on May 28, President Buhari directed the former members of his cabinet to forfeit their schedules to the permanent secretaries of their respective ministries.
