HBO has released the trailer for “The Legend of the Underground”, an upcoming documentary that highlights the lives and experiences of marginalized persons in Nigeria, as well as their fight for civil rights.
Directed by Nigerian-American filmmaker Nneka Onuorah alongside Giselle Bailey, it is backed by an executive production team featuring John Legend, Mike Jackson, Ty Stiklorius and Austyn Biggers of Get Lifted Film Co.
It is scheduled for a June 10 premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival and subsequent release on HBO on June 29. The film is set to feature a number of recognizable faces such as Denrele Edun, James Brown, Micheal Ighodaro and so many others.
