The ratings released yesterday by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) indicated that the Super Eagles had fallen by one place.
As seen in the September FIFA ratings, Nigerian football has now assumed 34th position in the world.
Nigeria fell to 34th place after their 2-2 draw against Ukraine in the international break.
However, the three-time African champions(Nigeria), have remained unshaken in third place among African countries, with Senegal [20th in the world] being first, Tunisia [29th] second and Algeria [38th] 4th.
Djibouti shook the ratings by moving nine places upward after winning against Eswatini over two legs to proceed to the second round of the World Cup qualifiers for the second time in their history.
Belgium is still the first position with 1752 points, France is second, Brazil third, England fourth and Portugal are fifth.
FIFA announced that the next world rankings will be released on 24 October 2019.
