2face, Niniola, Cobhams, others sing to uphold the rights of the Nigerian Child

In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Right of the Child (CRC), A-list Nigerian artistes 2face, Cobhams Asuquo, Chidinma, Niniola, Timi Dakolo, and Umar M. Sheriff will be releasing a song titled “For Every Child”.

The anniversary takes place today (November 20) at GSS Garki Festival road Abuja

The artistes will be singing the song alongside some Nigeria kids.

Singing as one, the special song is geared towards upholding the right and privileges of every  Nigerian child. It is a call to respect children’s rights.

“With this song, we are urging all people to call for every right for every child. Every Nigerian child deserves a fair chance to a safe and healthy future and to fulfill their dreams,” said Peter Hawkins, UNICEF Nigeria Representative. 

Also today, UNICEF Nigeria will be launching an app where children can easily navigate the intricacies of the CRC and other materials backing their fundamental right.
