Beyonce has begun shooting a video for her new single ‘Brown Skin Girl’ and this time she’s flipping the script.
The song which she recorded with top Nigerian Singer Wizkid and her daughter Blue Ivy Carter will feature in its visuals ‘normal people’ residing in Catford and Thamesmead, UK.
MailOnline reports that the 38-year-old singer and members of her crew were seen yesterday (November 30) around the HM Prison Thameside, UK.
As a step to achieving the ‘Normal People’ feel and ambience in the visuals for ‘Brown Skin Girl’, the singer was reported to have dispersed a casting call flier, indicating the need for black and brown people spread across different cultures, nationalities, ethnicities, genders and ages” and also have backgrounds in London.
An insider from her crew disclosed that Beyonce might also have Naomi Campbell and Lupita Nyong’o in the visuals due to their impermeable beautiful black skin but that wouldn’t disrupt the whole theme of featuring normal black people.
“Trained actors and dancers were also wanted but the main focus is on showcasing a variety of body shapes and ages, from as young as six months to the elderly.
“Shooting started today in London but as yet Beyoncé is only going to star in the side of the film recorded in America.” the insider also stated.
There was also a call for all different family structures that include ‘blended, single parent, queer and adopted’.
The source also said that Beyoncé will not be filming in London but only appear in parts of the video shot in America.
