Back in September when Apple launched its iPhone 11 lineup – iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro & iPhone 11 Pro Max – the devices did not only flaunt updated components and latest mobile technologies, but also longer battery life than its predecessors. However, it is common knowledge that even large batteries aren’t enough to last for an entire day.
For this reason, Apple has launched the third generation of its smart battery cases for the iPhone 11 lineup. For those who don’t know, Apple introduced the first generation of its smart battery cases for iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 while the second generation was produced for the iPhone X lineup.
As the name suggests, the iPhone 11 smart battery case promises up to 50 percent longer battery life on all three models with intelligent battery status shown on the Lock screen and Notification Center. The case also comes with a soft microfiber lining in the interior that will help protect your iPhone’s back from scratches and silky, soft-touch finish on the exterior.
The case also features wireless charging, meaning that users can place the phone with the battery case on any Qi-certified wireless device to charge without taking out the case.
What’s even more cool is that the iPhone 11 smart battery case features a dedicated camera button unlike its predecessors. Tapping on the button will click the picture while long-pressing will start the QuickTake video. Users can fire up the camera application with the button even when the device is locked.
To charge the case, users can use the USB-PD fast chargers with the lightning connector.
The case is available in White, Black and Pink Sand colour options for the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max while for the regular iPhone 11, the case comes in White and Black colour options.
As for pricing, all versions of the case come with the same price tag of $129 (N47,000).
