A 2018 video showing the Founder of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, declaring himself the 16th President of Nigeria, after President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, is currently circulated around the internet under the guise of being recent.

Pastor Bakare had in 2018 affirmed that nothing could deter him from becoming the 16th President of the nation because it was predestined by God.

Yesterday the 23rd of September, Two separate reports disseminated by the Vanguard and Legit, indicated that Bakare made the declaration during his September 22 Sunday sermon.

“Bakare, during his sermon on Sunday, September 22 said that nothing could change it because he was born for that purpose,” Legit reported.

Vanguard, in its report, claimed, “Bakare, during his sermon on Sunday, said that nothing could change it because he was born for that purpose to be president.”

The news blew up various social media platforms especially twitter which had about 4000 retweets, which catapulted it to become the number one trend in Nigeria on the twitter trend table

Not disputing that the video isnt authentic but urging that Nigerians be aware that it was from a predated February 18, 2018, Sunday sermon.

The bickerings surrounding the video stems from recent tittle-tattle about vice-president Yemi Osinbajo’s troubles.

Alleged reports have it that Osibanjo may be impeached and replaced with a certain known pastor from the Southwest guessing to be Bakare.

Bakare is notably one of the notable political pastors in the country, he is known for ridiculing past and present governments in Nigeria.

In 2011, he was the running mate to President Muhammadu Buhari for the presidential polls for which they were defeated by Goodluck Jonathan.
