Apple recently introduced its 16-inch MacBook Pro along with a new “Magic Keyboard”. However, based on the laptop’s teardown, the acclaimed new “Magic Keyboard” is similar to the same old scissors mechanism used in earlier MacBooks before the introduction of the butterfly switch.
Now, according to DigiTimes, it claims Apple is planning to introduce this new keyboard to future MacBooks, starting with the 13-inch MacBook Pro which could be launched in the first half of 2020.
It is worthy to note that DigiTimes doesn’t necessarily have the best track record for rumours like this but considering how Apple likes to have some consistency with features within its product lines, the implementation of the Magic Keyboard in the 13-inch MacBook Pro isn’t a matter of if it’ll happen, but when.
The current 13-inch MacBook Pro was introduced in May 2019, so an update in the first half of 2020 seems realistic but until then, we will keep our eyes peeled for more information.
